Toms to Open Second Los Angeles Store
Toms, the shoe brand known for donating a pair of shoes to underprivileged kids for every shoe sold, plans to expand its retail chain to The Americana at Brand in Glendale this summer.
Toms at The Americana will carry a full collection of footwear, eyewear and bags for men, women and kids. The new retail space is opening just in time for the shoe brand's 10-year anniversary.
Toms, headquartered in the Los Angeles seaside community of Playa del Rey, was founded in 2006 when entrepreneur Blake Mycoskie was traveling in Argentina and witnessed the hardships faced by children without shoes.
Toms has a flagship store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles as well as a handful of retail spots in New York City, Chicago, Austin, Tex., and Portland, Ore.
