Web 3.0 Primer at Material World L.A.
The emergence of social-networking vehicles such as Twitter and Facebook as well as other Web resources such as Zoho, EverNote and Jott.com will be the subject of a Web 3.0 workshop to be presented from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 29 in the California Market Center in Los Angeles in conjunction with the Material World show Sept. 30–Oct. 2.
The American Apparel Producers Network (AAPN) is sponsoring the event. Kurt Cavano, chief executive officer of New York–based software company TradeCard, and Bill Palmer of Activate Media Group will present the workshop, which will cover all aspects of social networking and emerging Web vehicles and how they are being applied within the apparel and textile industries.
The AAPN will create Twitter tags for the event so attendees and others can follow the conference at all stages via Twitter. For more information, visit www.material-world.com or twitter.com/aapn. —Robert McAllister
