Fendi Takes a Bow on Rodeo Drive
Italian Fashion House Fendi made a Rodeo Drive splash March 24. It produced a gala for its newest flagship store. The two-level flagship is located at 201 N. Rodeo Dr. on Beverly Hills, Calif.’s famed fashion street.
Pietro Beccari, Fendi’s chairman and chief executive officer, said that the flagship would introduce the fashion house’s Men’s collection. It would also further expand the Woman’s collection. The flagship’s ground level is devoted to Fendi’s Men’s Collection. The second house displays Women’s ready- to-wear, fur, shoes and accessories.
Several rooms display photo portraits of Roman fountains taken by Karl Lagerfeld, a Fendi creative director. Other unique features for the flagship included a “spiked gold wall” which is composed of 25,000 bronze spikes. There's also a long, floor to ceiling patchwork fur tablet in the space.
Celebs making an appearance at the gala included Alessandra Ambrosio, Rashida Jones, Jaime King, Kiernan Shipka, Ashley Madekwe, Soo Joo Park and Jessica Joffe. Also seen model Shaun Ross, Fashion Police’s George Kotsiopoulos, and Cameron Silver of Decades, one of the Los Angeles area’s most prominent vintage and designer clothing boutiques.
