CMC Hosting Market Seminars, Events, Sweepstakes

During the June 6–9 run of Los Angeles Fashion Market, the California Market Center is hosting several business-to-business seminars, events and buyer promotions.

Global Purchasing Group’s Mercedes Gonzalez is hosting a “Retail 101” seminar on June 6 at 2 p.m. and a “Retail Math” seminar on June 7 at 10 a.m. Frances Harder, president ofFashion Business Inc., is hosting a panel discussion titled “Direct & Digital Marketing for Retailers” on June 7 at 11:30 a.m. Panelists include Scaling Retail’s Syama Meagher, Ron Herman Boutique’s Alison Samek Stern and BetaBrand Think Tank’s Liz Rossof, All seminars are free for registered buyers and will be held in Suite A555.

There will also be a market cocktail party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the lobby on June 6; champagne and cupcakes will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the 5A showroom area to celebrate the new showroom locations for the Dakota Showroom and the Hanger Showroom. There will be Australian Roast coffee bars at the Select trade show in the Fashion Theater and at the Alt andTransit trade shows in the Penthouse. Wine will also be served at Select from 3 p.m. to closing on Monday and Tuesday. Buyers visiting the LA Kids Market on the sixth floor will be served continental breakfast, lunch and daily refreshments during market.
