Artist Collaboration Makes for Colorful Sandals and Shoes
Say hello to the Aloha series.
Sanuk, which is owned by Deckers Brand in Goleta, has done a collaboration with artist Susan Wickstrand to introduce three limited-edition designs for women's footwear. There are two variations of Sanuk’s top-selling Yoga Sling and an updated take on its slip-on model, the Pair O Sail.
Wickstrand, known as the "Queen of Collage" and an Encinitas resident, draws on her California roots to create vibrant artwork that ranges from oil and acrylics to wax collages and wood panels. Susan created two custom patterns for Sanuk: an orchid bloom print and a colorful, palm tree design.
The new collection is in stores now with prices ranging from $45 to $60.
“We are excited to partner with Susan as her signature aesthetic brings a fun, patterned spin to some of our most popular women’s silhouettes,” said Anders Bergstrom, director of marketing for Sanuk.
