Aussie Bridal Store Opens First U.S. Flagship in LA
From the "Land Down Under" comes a new bridal store that specializes in a sort of boho look for brides with dresses handmade from French laces and silks in a studio in Queensland, Australia.
Grace Loves Lace opened its first international outpost at 1510 Abbot Kinney Blvd. on July 5 in a contemporary 1,350-square-foot space that has a clean look with scattered rugs that give it a bohemian feeling.
The brand was founded by Megan Ziems, who went searching for her own wedding dress and found there was a void in the more relaxed but elegant area of bridalwear. Her gowns don't have lots of wiring or uncomfortable boning. The lace pieces have stretch incorporated into them.
The unique lace patterns and textures are handmade using Leaver looms and century-old techniques in Grace Loves Lace's Australian studio.
Right now, this is an appointment-only boutique, with appointments made by calling (424) 238-8190 or emailing lashowroom@graceloveslace.com.au.
