Teva Partners With Artists for Spring Collection
Artists from various spots across the country drew upon their surroundings to create the Artist Series for Teva sandals that were on display at an event held at The Bold Room, a creative space on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles.
Partygoers sipping wine and eating hors d'oeuvres could see three sets of sandals designed by artists from Texas and Oregon.
Emily Hoy, a freelance graphic designer who used to be an art director at Volcom, began her designs by looking at traditional Native American shapes and patterns and combined them with pastel colors. Hoy now lives in Bend, Ore.
Leah Duncan, who creates fabrics, home accessories and scarves, drew upon desert colors and the cacti that dot the Texas landscape around her home in Austin.
Jolby & Friends, a design studio in Portland, Ore., went with more earth tones for their Teva Spring collection. Josh Kenyon and Brett Stenson looked at the streets, people and sounds around them to express a city through geometric patterns.
