The Piece Collective: Store #2 Takes A Bow
For Marine Azria Hadar and Leran Hadar, business and love always mix.
Azria’s parents run BCBG Max Aria. Hadar’s father founded the H. Lorenzo group of high end boutiques. When Marine and Leran were dating in 2014, they opened The Piece Collective, a gift and fashion boutique on Los Angeles’ high profile Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
A few months after they married, Marine and Leran opened a second location for The Piece Collective. The official opening date for the store was Sept. 16. It’s located at The Glen Centre, at 2934 Beverly Glen Dr., in Los Angeles’ Beverly Glen neighborhood.
(Leran said that they chose an intimate wedding ceremony which was witnessed by less than 200 guests. Held at the residence of Max and Lubov Azria, Marine wore a lace dress designed by her parents’ company. Leran wore a white linen Ralph Lauren suit and an ascot.)
Leran said that the duo were charmed with the spot at The Glen Centre. “In Venice we took an old house for The Piece Collective,” he said. “At Glen Centre, we took a beautiful, open space. It’s the next phase of the business’s aesthetic .”
Marine crafted the airy, “canyon chic” look of the shop with Aly Daly of Aly Daly Design.” It still has the bohemian vibe of Venice, but hit has less of that beach vibe,” Marine said. “It’s more of that canyon vibe. It’s very nature driven. It feels like you are outside.”
The Piece Collective focuses on gifts, but with heritage of the bride and the groom, some fashion was required. The Glen Centre location offers brands such as Ryan Roche hats, Natalie Martin dresses, contemporary looks from the Joie brand and denim by Japanese brand Kapital and jeans by the emerging brand Sandrine Rose. Also in the merchandise mix, Jacquie Aiche jewelry and Wendy Nichol handmade, leather bags.
