Sole Society Opens First Store
So maybe bricks-and-mortar stores aren't quite dead yet.
A number of online shopping sites, such as Nasty Gal, have been venturing beyond the world wide web and into more concrete stores that let shoppers wander in and touch the merchandise.
The latest to follow that trend is Sole Society, purveyor of shoes, handbags and accessories, which just opened its first store ever at the seaside location of Santa Monica Place.
The Los Angeles company was launched in 2011 as a site selling shoes for under $100. It has grown a bit beyond that.
The new store will offer a revolving curated collection of apparel, home and beauty offerings from like-minded brands and local designers.
The store will feature a collaboration collection from LA-based sustainable designer, StyleSaint, which served as Sole Society's first-ever designer spotlight series. The Sole Society x StyleSaint collaboration has eco-friendly apparel that goes with Sole Society's shoes and accessories.
