Freddie Rojas, New Designers At The Fit Runway Show
With pastel colored sweats, silver windbreakers and a bit of chambray, Freddie Rojas observed 20-years of doing independent fashion in Los Angeles.
The colorful collection was part of Rojas Spring 2016 collection, which he showcased Oct. 9 at The Fit – Menswear Show, which took place at Maker City LA/The Reef near downtown Los Angeles. He headlined the show which focused on new and emerging designers from Los Angeles.
Rene Camarillo was one of the designers. He presented the collection The Boy Who Dreamt of Losing Teeth. Self-destruction and recovery were the themes of the line, and all of the models wore bruises (it was makeup, we hope.) The collection also focused on the male skirt. Camarillo showed five of them.
The Lola label showcased its first menswear collection at The Fit. One of the pieces was a male skirt. The rest of Lola's show featured the line’s take on streetwear, which included hoodies and brightly colored leggings.
The BF iii label offered looks that the designer Benny Flores described as tailored and casual. Styles included jeans, high collared vests and woven shirts with a workwear angle.
