Courage of Imagination Lives On
Henry T. Segerstrom, developer and founder of South Coast Plaza luxury retail resort and Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the home of the Pacific Symphony and the South Coast Repertory, passed away earlier this year at age 91.
His family and South Coast Plaza remembered Segerstrom with an installation called Courage of Imagination.
The installation displays images and mementoes of Segerstrom’s life including his Purple Heart medal from combat during Battle of the Bulge in World War II, newspaper ads from South Coast Plaza’s early years and meetings with leaders and artists such as Margaret Thatcher and Placido Domingo.
The installation will run until May 31. Entry is free.
