Ellen DeGeneres may be a funny lady but she is also a lady with her own distinct style.
Now the comedian who has hosted the Academy Awards and has her own TV talk show, is venturing out into the world of fashion. Today she launched ED, a lifestyle collection that is being sold online at EDbyEllen.com.
The apparel collection combines casual looks with tailored sensibility, adding a dollop of Ellen's sharp attention to detail. "I set out to fill a void in the marketplace of high quality, comfortable yet chic and easy-to-wear pieces with impeccable detailing," the comedian said.
Pieces like a tennis sweater or a fleece hoodie are selling for $145, a varsity fleece zip jackets goes for $165 and merino tailored pants cost $175. There are more items pictured on the website, but have a "Coming Soon" tag on them.
Designed to be mixed and matched, key items include bomber jackets, tailored separates in Italian fabrics, woven shirting, hand-drawn graphic tees, and cotton French terry sweatshirts complete with sayings that epitomize Ellen - Happiness, Love, Joy.
The collection looks very tailored and very preppy.
