If the Suit Doesn't Fit, Donate It

For the eighth year, Men's Warehouse, based in Fremont, Calif., is asking people to donate gently-used men's and women's suits over the next six weeks for its National Suit Drive, which starts today and ends July 31.

The campaign also accepts other kinds of clothing, such as ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts and shoes. They can be dropped off at more than 900 Men's Wearhouse locations around the country.

Over the past seven years, the Men's Wearhouse campaign has collected 850,000 items. This year, the goal is to have 250,000 items donated so the total will reach more than 1 million items given in eight years.

At the end of the drive, Men's Wearhouse will be donating the goods to more than 180 local non-profit groups that provide job-ready skills, training and seminars to disadvantaged men and women entering or re-entering the workforce.

As a thank you, donors receive 50 percent off the regular retail price of their next purchase at the retailer.
