Retail at Fourth & Traction Announced

A century ago, Coca Cola ran a bottling plant at 963 East 4th St., in what is now Los Angeles’ Arts District. Earlier this month, the building’s current owners, GPI Companies and Atlas Capital, announced that the building would be renamed Fourth & Traction and the former bottling plant would get a new look.

When the revamp is completed, scheduled for the end of 2015, the 150,000-square-foot, five-story, red-brick compound will be transformed into a mixed-use space with retail, restaurants and offices. Real estate firm RKF will handle the retail real estate leasing for the upcoming space.

The Arts District neighborhood has been one of downtown Los Angeles’ success stories. It is the location for a hub of restaurants with a fervent fan base; Wurstküche, The Pie Hole, Umami Burger, Angel City Brewery and Nola’s.
