Mighty Healthy’s Party at PacSun
For the Mighty Healthy brand, the way to celebrate a decade in business was this; design a capsule collection with a favorite artist Kevin Lyons, and sell at it Pacific Sunwear. “It’s something we’ve never done before with retailers,” said Ray Maté, founder of the New York –based Mighty Healthy. “We wanted to give them something different.”
Mighty Healthy’s difference was a capsule collection with Lyons’characters of apples with different faces; happy, perturbed and intoxicated. Maté said it was a way to keep it real. “Every brand should be an extension of someone’s personality….recognize trends, but don’t follow them,” he said.
