LIGHTS, MUSIC, DO ART!
The Big Party at LA Mart's New Creative Space
I spill a lot of proverbial ink on new stores and construction of new high rises. But on Sept. 22, I checked out another side of downtown Los Angeles’s building boom.
The LA Mart held a big party to celebrate its new creative space, Maker City LA, which is on the 11th floor of the showroom building located at 1933 S. Broadway.
The creative space offers studios, a printing space, podcasting studio, as well as an “experimental kitchen,” no doubt to feed creative souls.
To celebrate the new space, internet radio station and avant garde party crew Dublab celebrated its 14th anniversary at Maker City LA. Revelers and artists were treated to sets of dance, reggae, soul, Latin, freaky disco and ambient music from some of Los Angeles’ underground and popular DJs.
