Original Chuck Parties for Its New Styles
The dim lit bar in Hollywood could have been the backdrop for a spy movie or a place to catch a gig for a bebop jazz band.
But The Sayers Club was the setting for a party for the Holiday 13 and Spring 14 looks from Los Angeles headwear line Original Chuck, which was formerly called Chuck Originals.
Original Chuck Founder John Putnam presided over the party on Nov. 7, which was filled with revelers and, of course, caps. For Spring 14, a lot of new caps juxtaposed bright colors and different fabrics such as lightweight cottons, floral patterns and leathers.
Another Spring debut is the Deep Fit cap. John said it had more of a “contemporary depth,” i.e. the crown was taller, compared to the “shallower” fit of previous caps in the Original Chuck line.
