ALTERNATIVE APPAREL GRANTS $1,000 TO COMMUNITY GARDEN
Alternative Apparel's Leafy Green Thumb
Sure, we all know about Alternative Apparel’s eco-fashions, but the label put its beating heart where its proverbial mouth is.
It hosted a party at its Abbot Kinney store May 23 with fashion designer and urban gardener Ron Finley of LA Green Grounds, a group that builds community gardens in South Los Angeles. At the event, party goers voted to award a $1,000 Alternative Apparel grant to the We Garden project at Westminster Avenue Public Elementary, just down the street from the Alternative store.
