Agenda Moves to Larger Space at CMC
Streetwear and fashion trade show producer Agenda moved to larger offices in the California Market Center in Los Angeles.
Agenda founder and President Aaron Levant moved his offices and staff from suite B413 in the CMC to a 3,789-square-foot space located in suite B445. It is located just down the hall from its former offices, but it will offer a lot more space for Agenda’s growing functions.
The new office will hold space for 18 people, double the staff working in Agenda’s former office, which had housed the trade show organization since 2011. The new office has a view of the highly anticipated Ace Hotel, which is scheduled to debut later this year. There will be a large conference room, as well as a kitchen/dining area, in the new office.
It also will feature a unique gallery style. The new suite’s reception area will be devoted to art-gallery space. Furniture and shelving constructed out of reclaimed wood will be designed by architect Peter Wilday. Construction for the new space is expected to be finished by mid-June. With the move, Levant will shift from a cubicle within the company’s office, which it shared with showroom company The NTWRK Agency, to his own office. NTWRK, which Levant co-founded, will continue to operate out of suite B413.
Agenda celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and has been on a growth spurt. Mike Carter was named as vice president of sales and marketing in March. In April, the company named Vanessa Chiu as its director of women’s sales and marketing and Jim Shubin the director of endemic relations. All are new positions for the company.
Agenda produces biannual shows in Long Beach, Calif., and New York. It recently announced a Las Vegas show, which will run Aug. 19–20. In January, Agenda was acquired by leading trade show company Reed Exhibitions, headquartered in Norwalk, Conn.
