TESTING RETAIL
Three Dots Pop-up
Call it the return of Three Dots to retail.
The Los Angeles-based knits label produced a party for its pop-up at Fred Segal Santa Monica on July 25. The pop-up is in the former boutique space that housed Fred Segal Originals and Fred Segal Fun at the boutique compound.
Three Dots formerly ran a boutique on Melrose Avenue, but closed it more than 4-years ago. The label is testing retail again said Lisette Zofia Andrews, the director of merchandising. If the retail test is deemed a success, Three Dots might open another boutique. “The ellipses means more to come,” Andrews said of the three dots in the company’s name.
The pop-up is selling Three Dots’ Fall 2013 fashions for its men’s women’s and kids' lines. The kids' line is an added bonus because it has been previously sold only at the label’s Japanese accounts.
