Nike Announces New VPs
Nike Inc. promoted Craig Cheek to vice president of men’s training, overseeing the Beaverton, Ore.–based athletic-apparel company’s training, baseball and football sectors, including managing Nike’s relationship with the NFL.
Cheek has been with Nike for more than 20 years, holding several executive positions, including vice president and general manager of Nike’s young-athletes business and vice president and general manager of the greater China and North America regions.
The company also promoted Reenie Benziger as the new vice president of young athletes. She has been with the company for four years, most recently as vice president of sport apparel. She got her start at the sportswear giant as senior vice president of retail at Hurley International. Prior to joining Nike, Benziger was lead merchant at Pacific Sunwear Inc. and spent 17 years at Gap Inc., holding various roles in product creation.
