MEET THE ANTI-CAP

Gents' Cap Alternative

There’s no shortage of baseball caps. But so few of them have a good fit, said J Mills, design director of Gents. It’s a line of fitted headwear and clothing, which launched in November. A party for the Los Angeles label was produced July 11 at prominent boutique Kitson on Robertson Boulevard.

The solution for ill fitting caps can be found in the construction of the headwear. The Gents cap was developed to display a “squared” look, Mills said, which offers a more structured view of the wearer’s face. It’s one of the reasons why the Gents cap is intended to be worn at formal occasions…and at the ball game, if you’re really pushing it.

Gents also makes T-shirts and baseball raglans with a sophisto angle. But the line will soon be rolling out new items in its collection, including fleece, jewelry, bags, accessories and cashmere hoodies.
