’Made in America’Conference Set for May in LA
The future of U.S. manufacturing will be discussed at an upcoming conference in downtown Los Angeles.
Apparel-industry leaders and experts will have the opportunity to discuss emerging trends and the overall economic landscape for manufacturing in America at the 2013 West Coast Manufacturing Conference, held May 1 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
On March 14, organizers will hold a pre-conference conversation called “The Future of American Manufacturing: American Turnaround,” hosted by Ed Whitacre, former chairman and chief executive officer of General Motors and AT&T. Whitacre recently spoke at the Cornell Club in New York in response to his memoir, “American Turnaround: Reinventing AT&T and GM and the Way We Do Business in the USA.”
Whitacre will speak at the City Club in downtown Los Angeles. The cost to attend the conference, pre-conference lunch and Whitacre’s book signing is $260; the cost to attend only the conference is $195. Member organizations are eligible for reduced rates.
