Nevermind the T-shirts, Here's Brian Lichtenberg's footwear
Homies designer Brian Lichtenberg was the subject of a blitz of controversy recently when actress Kristen Johnston posted an angry tweet on the designer’s T-shirts which parody prescription drugs.
In a prepared statement, Lichtenberg said his shirts weren’t the problem. “I’m sorry if this offends anyone, but I am a firm believer in freedom of speech and my T-shirts don’t say, ‘Go get addicted to drugs.’ They simply are a collection inspired by the sign of our times. I’m not the problem. I’m just a commentator.”
It’s not the only Brian Lichtenberg story out there. He will be debuting a line of footwear in late September. Look out for slip-on shoes and high top sneakers bearing the Homies logo. High profile boutique Kitson is pre-selling the high tops for $125 and the slip-ons for $95.
