Mark in his hot pink suit
You come across the most interesting, or different, people when you venture around town for Fashion's Night Out.
I was at the Guess store on Rodeo Drive last Thursday for Fashion's Night Out when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a man wearing a bright pink suit. An ultra fashion-forward lad? I wasn't sure. I walked up and met Mark, a self-described Renaissance man who played evasive with his last name. He said he is wearing pink to raise awareness for curing breast cancer. His mother had breast cancer in the 1980s and is a survivor.
Mark pops up at fashion events and parties with his hot pink suit to get the word out. He is also creating a 2013 calendar of men in hot pink outfits that will raise money for research, education, screenings and treatment programs. He has quite a few people lined up for the calendar, including a burly firefighter. That should be interesting.
