Madison Store Now in Teen Form
When it comes to clothes, what's good for mom is good for her teen daughter.
Madison, the high-end specialty store that sells designer labels and contemporary clothes at several locations in Los Angeles, including from its flagship store on Third Street, has opened its first outlet for teenagers. It's called Madison t, and has many of the brands that adult women like.
Emily Goldstein, owner and buyer for Madison, collaborated with her 13-year-old daughter, Jordan, to cull the best of Madison with the teen wardrobe in mind at the hew Pacific Palisades boutique. They have labels like Alice Olivia, Parker, Equipment, J Brand and Splendid combined with younger labels such as Brandy Melville, Wildfox Couture, Aviator Nation and PJ Salvage.
The 1,000-square-foot store decorated with an orange-polka dot theme, came about when the Madison Palisades store moved to a new location a couple of doors down on Swarthmore Avenue. That left a convenient opening for the teen-centric retail idea.
The store has fashions that sell for less than $50 all the way up to contemporary prices. The new store is located at 1017 Swarthmore Ave. This is the eighth store in the Madison chain.
