Church Boutique in West Hollywood represented fashion’s avant garde and art-inspired looks since its debut in 2009. On Oct. 4, Church co-owners Rodney Burns and David Malvaney produced a party celebrating the store debut of Tokyo-line 2a, as well as the “Edge of Evolution” art collection. Church's friends and various beautiful people were treated to 55 pieces of sculpture, oil painting and mixed media from artists such as Patti Meyers, David Harouni and Lee Jordan.
Treats also included spectacular cocktails drinks by DeLeón tequila, but the Church’s Burns insisted that the shindig was no big deal. “We are not trying to reinvent the wheel,” he said of the art, fashion and tequila extravaganza. “We’re trying to give it more of a bigger ride.” Enough said.
