Welcome Back, Alpha
Alpha was a leading men’s fashion and gift shop in West Hollywood, Calif., from 2003 to April 2012, when the store’s founder, Darren Gold, shuttered his Melrose Avenue boutique.
Gold soon after opened an Alpha store at the Raymond|Lawrence boutique compound in Palm Springs, Calif., but he didn’t stay away from his old stomping grounds for long. He continues serving as chair for The Avenues, a merchants association in West Hollywood. And on Nov. 7, he opened an Alpha holiday pop-up shop at prominent Los Angeles boutique Satine, located at 8134 W. Third St.
The shop will last until Dec. 31, selling men’s fashions, accessories and grooming products. Expect to see fashion brands such as Jack Spade, Adidas SLVR, Groceries and Jacks and Jokers. Holiday pop-up shoppers also will be able to check out furniture from pop-up shop Apt. 2B, which will be a guest at Satine during the holidays.
