Attendance Remains High at Taste of OffPrice in New York
Attendance at the May 6–8 run of the Taste of OffPrice show in New York was on par with the 2011 show, when traffic jumped 12 percent over the previous year.
Held at Gotham Hall during New York Market Week, the show featured 65 exhibitors offering off-price apparel and accessories.
Show organizers said there’s a waiting list to join the New York show, which offers a sampling of the much-larger OffPrice show, held biannually in Las Vegas.
“It’s exciting to see so many first-time buyers attend the show,” said Stephen Krogulski, chief executive officer of OffPrice. “We’re confident in new buyers discovering that just one find at OffPrice can increase their stores’ profit margins by a significant amount. Having a presence at Market Week in New York has been extremely beneficial to buyers and exhibitors.”
Based in Brookfield, Wis., OffPrice is produced by Tarsus Group Plc., an international media group with headquarters in Dublin and offices in London, Paris, Shanghai and Milwaukee.
The next OffPrice show is set for Aug. 19–22 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas. For more information, visit www.offpriceshow.com.—Alison A. Nieder
