Ina Soltani Fall ’12
Designer Ina Soltani offered a salute to girls who like to rock for her Fall ’12 collection, shown March 12 at Style Fashion Week LA at Vibiana.
Set to a soundtrack that included Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, Black Sabbath and Queen’s “We Will Rock You,” Soltani’s models kicked off the show with a parade of rock-girl looks in black and gunmetal gray punctuated with bright red.
Highlights included a precision-cut leather bustier and skirt, second-skin leather-like leggings, a satin romper worn with a black leather jacket, and a red leather mini dress with a mesh hood.
The designer switched gears, offering a few tops and trousers in eye-searingly bright satin, as well as bright chiffon gowns trimmed in chunky rows of rhinestone trim.—Alison A. Nieder
