Dripped: Welcome to L.A.'s Fashion Underworld
Phyllis Navidad and GGeisha of Dripped
Far from the bright lights of Los Angeles Fashion Week,GGeisha and Phillis Navidad staked claim to the city’s fashion underground.
They produced the first fashion week edition of Dripped, their fashion party and trunk show on March 15. It provided a splashy venue for new designers and more than 500 style savvy people with an edge. This event took place at Club Soho, located at a shady end of a street, naturally, just outside of downtown L.A.This was the fifth edition of the Dripped party.
“We’re celebrating the fact that we’re hungry and we’re young,” GGeisha said wearing a kimono-like robe which she contends cost $1.“This is about style, not money.”
SynthPop band Steed Lord performed, there was a runway show, pictures from the show will be posted on the Apparel News website. Most of all, people celebrated looking good, not ordinary.” It’s all danger driven,” Elephants and Sirens jeweler Monica Reyes said of the show’s ambiance.
