Supply-Chain Sustainability on the Agenda at Two Southern California Workshops
Southern California apparel and textile companies looking for ways to implement sustainable and socially responsible initiatives in their sourcing and production practices are invited to attend an August workshop sponsored by the Textile Exchange.
The workshops will focus on sustainable materials—including organic, recycled and cellulosic fibers—and responsible processing— including dyeing and finishing—as well as ethical manufacturing practices, product integrity, transparency certification and labeling.
The Los Angeles–area workshop will be held Aug. 21 at Disney Consumer Products Synergy Lab in Glendale, Calif. The San Diego workshop will be held Aug. 24 at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising’s campus. The fee to attend is $300 for Textile Exchange members and $375 for nonmembers.
