Scan any crowd in Los Angeles, you’re going to spot more than a few women’s fashion stylists, but there are few men’s stylists.Manuel Jackson plans to bring up the vanguard for this field of men’s fashion. His Ekquality Style Hause celebrated its first year anniversary at Siren Studios in Hollywood with a rollicking and stylish pre-Oscar party Feb. 25.
Party guests sipped drinks by Chivas, Barefoot Champagne and coffees by Handsome Roasting Coming ,the new hip downtown L.A. coffee roasters. The biggest star of the evening was the “The Gentleman’s Closet,” a pop-up shop with displays from Ekquality clients Gemelli, Token, Tallia Orange, and Pocket Change. Also on show were bow tie lines Inspired Knots by Michael Shannon, and Ekqualyte. Jackson makes this line of reversible bow ties, some with satin piping. Jackson presided over the event in a Tallia Orange sharkskin suit.
