Hong Kong Fashion Week Marks 44th Edition
Top designers to be featured at the upcoming Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter 2013 in January will be from primarily Asia with a few smattering of designers from Europe.
The four-day fashion fair and trade show, to be held Jan. 14–17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will also feature a show by emerging Hong Kong designers participating in the “Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2013.”In addition, there will be a footwear design competition and a knitwear design show.
The finale of the fair will feature a fashion show by Hong Kong conglomerate I.T., which will show its latest designs for four labels: B+AB, Katie Judith, Tout a Coup and Mini Cream.
Hong Kong Fashion Week is also a trade show where thousands of apparel, textile and trim factories set up booths highlighting their work to international buyers.
This year, special pavilions will be organized by India, Macau, Taiwan and regions of mainland China. For the first time, Pakistan will be setting up its own pavilion. Running at the same time as Hong Kong Fashion Week is World Boutique, an annual venue for clothing brands marketing to international buyers.
On the first day of World Boutique, there will be a fashion extravaganza show where collections will be shown by Johanna Ho from Hong Kong, Nana Aganovich and Brooke Taylor from Paris, and Chi Zhang from Beijing.
