CGS Acquires Online Sales Tool Threadvine
New York–based Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), a provider of technologysolutions for the apparel market, announced on Dec. 7 its acquisition of Threadvine, a sales tool created to be usedvia email, online or with a mobile device.
Used by more than 100 brands globally, Threadvine was createdfor buyers who are unable to attend a trade show or would like to place ordersmid-season. With the incorporation of Threadvine, “companies will now have theability to reach and collaborate with buyers through a variety of channels,using a specific tool that will improve sales and present products visually inan efficient manner,” said Paul Magel, president of CGS’ applications solutionsgroup. “Threadvine extends our reach to our clients and reaffirms ourcommitment to the apparel industry by responding to current [technology]trends.”
CGS’ BlueCherry productlifecycle management (PLM) software is used by more than 200 brands, includingTommy Bahama, Alice + Olivia and Diane Von Furstenberg. Thecompany has expanded its PLM offerings to incorporate enhancedfunctionality with data business intelligence and a warehousing distributioncenter to establish a comprehensive, collaborative supply chain.—SarahWolfson
