Vreeland To Be Honored at Walk of Style

When asked about Diana Vreeland, Richard Avedon, the iconic fashion photographer, said, '"She was and remains the only genius fashion editor.”
With a deliciously wicked wit, Vreeland helped the world take fashion seriously while she worked as editor of Harper’s Bazaar from 1937 to 1962 and Vogue from 1962 to 1971. Vreeland passed away in 1989, but she will be inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style on Sept. 10, it was announced today.
Diana Vreeland will be the nineteenth recipient inducted into the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style,previous honorees includeMissoni, Iman, Fred Hayman, Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, Cartier, Valentino Garavani, Manolo Blahnik, James Galanos, Gianni and Donatella Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo and Edith Head.
A documentary on the legendary editor’s life,Diana Vreeland The Eye Has To Travel, will be released Sept. 21
