Fashion Business Inc. Gets New Space
It's moving day for the people over at Fashion Business Inc.
The business incubator for up-and-coming apparel companies is shifting its digs within the California Market Center.
For the past three years, the non-profit group has been located in a generous space that covers about 7,000 square feet on the seventh floor of the C building of the California Market Center.
But the California Market Center has bigger plans for that 7th floor space and has moved out the FBI as well as its neighbor, the handbag showroom for the Charlie Lapson Group. The CMC people are still remaning mum about what is going on in the C building's 7th floor space. But contractors have been walking around to take measurements. Speculation is that it might be more space for gift showrooms.
The FBI people aren't moving too far. The 2,500-square-foot office at A792 is on the seventh floor of the A building at the California Market Center. It's a spot once occupied by Cotton Inc., before the cotton trade group closed its office here.
Frances Harder, who launched the non-profit in 1999, said the phones and Internet connections are being transferred over today. They are hoping to be up and running by Wednesday.
