Robertson's New Stores
There’s a new wave of stores opening on Robertson Boulevard, one of Los Angeles’ premier shopping streets.The handful of new boutiques and specialty stores brings an independent style to Robertson.
New fashion line Monika Chiang is opening a boutique at 108 S. Robertson Blvd. on Oct. 5. The new store offers clothes, footwear and accessories from designer Monika Chiang. Her label also will run a store in New York.
When Swedish label We Are the Superlative Conspiracy shuttered its Robertson boutique this summer (and opened a new one at the Santa Monica Place retail center in Santa Monica, Calif.) Los Angeles–based fashion label Lauren Moshi opened a pop-up shop at the former WESC place at 144 S. Robertson. The pop-up shop sells Moshi’s unique tops; it also offers a gallery of her art. The pop-up shop is scheduled to stay in business until January 2012.
Robertson bid a sad farewell to Diavolina footwear boutique when it shuttered at 156 S. Robertson Blvd. this summer. Its space remains vacant. However, Canadian yogawear line Lululemon Athletica opened Sept. 23 in the former Rock & Republic space at 103 S. Robertson Blvd.—Andrew Asch
