Michael Stars Turns 25 With Bash This Weekend

Does it seem like only yesterday that Michael Stars, that great T-shirt and lifestyle line, popped up in Los Angeles and slowly expanded across the country?
I think so. But it has been 25 years since an idea for art-driven tops took off. This weekend, the company's founders, Michael Cohen and Suzanne Lerner, are celebrating the anniversary in style.
They are serving cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at the Lerner et Cie showroom in New York on Sunday. They are also donating 25,000 T-shirts to women in need across the country. Michael Stars has partnered with the National Coalition for the Homeless to locate women who are seeking emergency shelter, in transition to independent living or who are part of today's homeless workforce.
