Bohemian Society Spring 2012
Bohemian Society presented a rock-infused runway show on Oct. 14 at Concept Los Angeles Fashion Week at ACE Gallery. The event included a live band and an array of tribal, bohemian and global-influenced pieces for the “supernatural” Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Victor Wilde.
Wilde played with androgyny and gender roles, using a bald female model and a male model with long hair wearing a skirt. Cregrave;me-colored tops with soft airbrushed designs, painted faces and affixed seashells were paired with lace skirts, patchwork-print shorts, thick necklaces made of hair, and vests made of decorated denim, heavy leather or metallic animal hide. The wild collection also included men’s camouflage suspender pants, a sheer lace bodysuit and leggings, and a parachute dress made from a silk parachute. —Deidre CrawfordPhotos from the event can be found here.
