Marco Marco Tones Down the Rock Star

Just a few nights before the American Music Awards, studio for designer Marco Marco was atwitter with activity creating red carpet dresses for the atelier’s music industry clients. Just the perfect time to pile on more work. On Nov. 16, the Hollywood-based designer debuted its new line Collection 1 by Marco Marco.
“It rock star, but it’s not stage oriented,” said designer Marco Morante who has worked on some of the more outré looks for music stars Katy Perry, Fergie and Ke$ha.
But the line is still pretty rock star. The35-piece collection features revealing body suits, avant-garde cocktail dresses, some mod-looking frocks and denim printed with colors to give the wearer what Marco called a bright, harmonious feeling.
