Los Angeles is famously a jeans and T-shirt town, but Dutch transplant Jeroen Bik thinks he can reignite L.A.’s love affair with the suit.
He and his partners opened made-to-measure suit shop Klein Epstein Parker on 367 N. Robertson Blvd. in West Hollywood in August. With a library of fabrics and an encyclopedia of suit styles, Bik and company encourage Los Angeles men to design their own suits. “You can customize a watch, You can customize a Nike (shoe,) why not design your own suit?”Bik asked.
Klein Epstein Parker’s suits start at $798 and jackets start at $548. The shop also specializes in made-to-measure shirts. Klein Epstein Parker’s partner company Emanuel Berg puts together the made-to- order shirts in factories in Poland. Emanuel Berg chief Yaroslaw Szychulda was in town Nov 14-16 taking customer’s measurements for shirts. Shirts range from $248 to $1,000.Bik said he hopes to open more of his made-to-measure stores.
