Designers, fashion nerds and the fabulous turned up at high end vintage shop Decades Nov. 2 to take in Hal Rubenstein signing his coffee table sized tome, 100 Unforgettable Dresses.
Rubenstein, the longtime fashion director of InStyle magazine, profiled the most influential dresses from the 1920s to the present. We liked his stories on Gianni Versace’s safety pin dress for Elizabeth Hurley and Ginger Rogers’s beautiful ostrich-feather dress, which unfortunately fell apart during the filming of Top Hat, a 1935 movie classic.
The book signing party was pretty groovy. Designers Kevan Hall, Yotam Solomon hung out with Decades co-owners Christos Garkinos, Cameron Silver and actress Monet Mazur.
