Zimmermann's Robertson Splash

Zimmermann, an Australian swimwear line, hopes to make a splash on Los Angeles’ stylish Robertson Boulevard.
The first permanent American boutique for the Zimmermann brand was officially debuted May 23 at 110 S. Robertson Blvd., in a space formerly occupied by lingerie retailer Undrest. The 1,385-square-foot boutique offers swimwear, resort wear and ready-to-wear from the 20-year-old Sydney-based brand. For its ready-to-wear, the look is contemporary, said designer Nicky Zimmermann. Its resort and swimwear looks are defined by color and prints; retail price points range from $150 to $350 for swimwear and $290 to $1,200 for ready-to-wear.
If you hang around beaches around Sydney, you probably heard of Zimmermann.It runs a fleet of 15 boutiques in Australia and New Zealand. It has been sold at high end American department stores such as Saks and Barney’s. The Zimmermann brand opened a pop up boutique in New York City last year.
Zimmermann chose Robertson as its first permanent American location because the most suitable location became available.The Zimmermann sisters are frequent visitors to Los Angeles. “I feel comfortable here,” Nicky said of Robertson. “It’s a place I like to shop. If it appealed to me, it will appeal to other people.”
