Scovill Asset Sale to Be Handled by Carl Marks
New York–based investment-banking firm Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC will serve as financial adviser for Scovill Fasteners Inc. in the sale of Scovill’s operations and assets. The Clarkesville, Ga.–based maker of engineered closure products filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in April after 209 years in business. Scovill’s brands include Gripper, Duramark, DOT, Pull-The-DOT, Lift-The-DOT, Common-Sense and DOT Durable, which are used in a range of applications from jeans and childrenswear to sporting goods, medical devices and safety equipment.
