Elegant gowns. Gauzy hippie tunics. Streetwise T-shirts. These styles were some of the looks to hit the runway at the Hyatt Regency Plaza in Century City May 12 to celebrate Israel’s independence.
Well-known Israeli-American designer Dina Bar-EL joined other designers and fashion labels with Israeli roots such as Gypsy 05,Tal Sheyn,Sledge USA, Treasure Rock, Pure by Raw 7,Biya/Johnny Was and Natalia Romano for a fashionable show of pride for Israel. The event was produced by FIDF, Friends of Israel Defense Forces.
Bar-EL showed her five holiday looks, one was a one-shoulder,all-silk gown bearing the blue and white colors of the Israeli flag. A couple of lines made their runway bows at the event. Tal Sheyn Signature Designs formally took a runway bow at Century City. Downtown Los Angeles-based Raw 7, made the runway bow for its premium line Pure by Raw 7.
