L.A. Fashion Weekend, Night Two
L.A. Fashion Weekend showcased a range of designers on the second and final night of the event on March 19 at Sunset Gower Sudios in Hollywood. The group show, which is hosted and produced by The Gallery Los Angeles’ Mikey Koffman, included everything from handbags and lingerie to menswear and evening dresses. Canadian singer Anna Cyzon opened the show with her performance of “Love Me” before Biatta debuted its sexy lingerie in leopard, lace and floral prints. Womenswear designer Nuvula merged theatrics into its clothing with an array of artsy graphic prints, futuristic color-blocked dresses and jackets with lapels of circus ringmaster proportions. Menswear trended toward casual. Easy-to-wear looks by Z-Brand included denim, sweaters, plaid shirts and khakis while Civil Society veered to the dapper side of sporty dressing up edgy moto jackets, button downs, and cargo pants with bow ties and glasses. Nicole Lee’s handbags stood out on models dressed in all black. Studs, tassels and fringe decorated the bags in bold colors and natural shades. Eveningwear designer du jour Dina Bar-el closed the show with cocktail dresses and glamorous evening gowns in sequins, lace, floral prints and luxe silk fabrics. —N. Jayne Seward
