The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) is a co-educational, specialized, private college dedicated to educating students for the fashion, graphics, interior design, and entertainment industries. The college’s long 40-year history has been the perfect marriage between education and industry. FIDM offers two-year, three-year, and four-year associate of arts degrees; advanced study degrees; bachelor’s degrees; and post-degree and transfer programs. FIDM is accredited by WASC and NASAD. Woodbury University’s School of Media, Culture & Design (our School of the Arts) offers six degree programs with courses you can combine to suit your interests: animation communication, fashion design, film, graphic design, and psychology. Our unique, crossdisciplinary approach encourages each student to immerse himself or herself in multiple fields, promising an edge in the workplace of tomorrow. Woodbury offers a recognized university degree, the bachelor of fine arts, which sets it apart from other two-year fashion institutes and programs. MCD is offered exclusively at our Burbank campus—22 green acres upon which our traditional university campus resides.
