More stores, jobs at Kohl's
Menomonee Falls, Wis.–based Kohl’s Department Stores opened nine new stores in Illinois, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. The new stores are expected to create more than 1,200 jobs, according to the company. Kohl’s plans to open a total of 40 new stores in 2011 and remodel 100 existing stores. Kohl’s currently operates 1,097 stores in 49 states.
