Downstairs there’s elegant space for the celebrated New York label’s couture, resort collection, watches and footwear, as well as cocktail dresses from the Mark + James by Badgley Mischka line. A gala debut part was held on the rainy night of March 2 for the 2,800-square-foot Badgley Mischka flagship at 477 N. Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills.
Celebrated designers and label chiefs James Mischka, Mark Badgley and actress Rumer Willis presided over a party where duck au vin with ginger was served and the gift bags included Badgely Mischka handbags.
I got in a brief word with Badgley and Mischka. “We wanted to make it (look like) an old Beverly Hills mansion,” Mischka said of the flagship. Badgley said the label is scouting for real estate for a New York flagship, which may open in the next two years. Badgley Mischka runs another flagship in Palm Beach, Fla.
